GOD TV HONOURS THE LIFE OF

EMMA ABBOTT

GOD TV honours the life of Emma Abbott, who went home to be with the Lord today after a yearlong battle with cancer. For the past six years, Emma served as an integral part of the GOD TV team, most recently as Partnerships Manager and as the host of our flagship daily show, GOD TV Together.

Ward Simpson says – “Emma was a great team leader, a faithful friend, a compassionate coworker and a terrific person to work with. She was an embodiment of Christ and we count it a privilege to have had the opportunity to serve God alongside her these past six years. We will certainly miss Emma dearly but take great comfort in the fact that we don’t say goodbye to her but rather say “ L’hitraot”- until we meet again!”

“Emma was the life and soul of any gathering and brought immense passion and dedication to everything she did,” said GOD TV COO, Ian Young. “She led our daily prayer times with great care and always kept our viewers and partners close to her heart. I am proud to have called her my friend. Emma’s legacy is one of unwavering faith, and her love for Jesus and His Church continues to inspire us all.”

For the past four years, Emma also served as a host on GOD TV Together. “Emma was a fearless presenter,” said Trevor McFarlane, Head of Production. “She never hesitated to share from her own experiences, demonstrating how God can bring healing and restoration to even the most broken places in our lives. She was determined to see others encounter the love and hope of Christ.”

Emma’s passion extended beyond the screen. “She carried a deep love for the global Church and was especially focused on highlighting the ‘church we cannot see,’” McFarlane continued. “Her dedication helped shape impactful programming, from stories of the Persecuted Church to the work of GOD TV across Asia, Israel, and the Middle East.”

As the GOD TV family, we stand together in prayer for Emma’s husband, Jason, and their children, Katelynn and Sam. Emma’s life and faith have left an indelible mark on all of us, and we honour her legacy with gratitude and love.
