Sid was born in the United States in 1940. Raised in a Jewish household, Sid found synagogue and organised religion irrelevant and boring. An encounter with a Christian businessman introduced Roth to Jesus, and his own encounter with the Son of God in 1972 restored his life, and he has since devoted himself to telling Jewish people everywhere that Jesus is the true Messiah. 

Sid is married to Joy, and they have a daughter, Leigh.
