Furtick is the founder of Elevation Church, which launched in 2006. Steven had a vision to create a church for people who didn’t attend church. Under his leadership, Elevation Church has exploded in growth, driven by its worship ministry, Elevation Worship.  

Furtick brings a unique preaching style and an authentic and innovative approach to ministry, which have been instrumental in Elevation Church’s impact on modern Christianity and the world. Steven’s sermons are streamed by billions of people hungry to access the Gospel in a way they can relate to. 

Furtick’s teaching is characterised by an ability to equip people to demonstrate Christ’s love in practical ways. Elevation Church is not just a global ministry, it’s actively involved in its local community through various outreach initiatives, partnerships with local organisations, and charitable giving. His ministry has had a massive impact in education, social justice, and humanitarian aid. 

Steven was born in Moncks Corner, South Carolina, USA in 1980. He is married to Holly, and they have 3 children: Elijah, Graham, and Abbey.
