Meeting Real Needs

As a global media ministry with a vision to reach the world, GOD TV is also committed to helping people in charitable ways. Together with our partners and working with local churches and other organisations, we are committed to finding sustainable ways to combat poverty and share God’s love with all people in order to transform communities and touch nations.

We cannot thank our GOD TV family enough for their generous giving and support of our many projects. Through your support we are changing peoples lives with the Gospel, as well as meeting real needs of real people!

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: To look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." (James 1:27)

Some of the ministries GOD TV supports each month include:

Jesus Cares Children's Feeding Project

Thousands of children in South Africa go to school each day without having had a proper meal, but GOD TV and our partners are working to change this. Founded by Cliff and Andre Scott, in Rory Alec’s home town of Rustenburg, Jesus Cares provides balanced meals to about 700 children each school day, reaching out to the poorest of the poor and sharing the message of Jesus as ‘the bread of life’.

Kondanani Childrens Village

Malawi is one of Africa’s poorest nations with over a million orphans, but together we are helping to raise up a new generation of African leaders. Through the amazing work of Annie Chikhwaza, who has been affectionately called ‘the Mother of Malawi’, we assist in the rescue of abandoned babies, many of which have been affected by HIV/AIDs, and help provide an ‘oasis of love’ for close on two hundred children at Kondanani.

Tsunami Fund Projects in Sri Lanka

In 2004 her home was devastated by a Tsunami that killed hundreds of thousands of people. Miraculously, she managed to survive despite her physical disabilities. Even so, while the world gasped in horror, her life lay in tatters and all hope seemed lost. But today through the generosity of the GOD TV family, she has a new home and television set which enables her to share the same life-changing message she has experienced with her whole neighbourhood by way of the GOD Channel.

Reaching out to Captives

We remember the exhortation Jesus gave in Matthew 25 not to forget those in prison, whether behind physical bars or in spiritual bondage. In addition to programming targeted towards overcoming addictions, GOD TV is impacting the lives of men and women in prison. Together we can impart hope and facilitate discipleship by airing GOD TV into prison cells and community rooms. “Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.” (Matthew 25:40)

Other ministries GOD TV supports include:

  • Mercy Ministries ( www.mercyministries.co.uk ) a Christian discipleship programme in the UK that helps young women overcome life-controlling issues such as eating disorders, self-harming and depression as they recognise their true value. Together with Mercy Ministries we are restoring hope and transforming lives as we help young women find their full potential.
  • The Foundation for Relief & Reconciliation in the Middle East ( http://frrme.org ) The war in Iraq may have ended but not the bomb blasts and the persecution of Christians. It is a privilege for GOD TV to support the work of Canon Andrew White in providing humanitarian relief in Iraq through St George’s Church and Clinic. Andrew is known as ‘the vicar of Baghdad’ and has written the award-winning book ‘Faith Under Fire’. Together we can make a difference in this war-torn nation.
  • World Serve International, East Africa drilling water wells to provide much needed clean water in remote, drought-stricken villages and aiding communities in Kenya and Tanzania through various projects; and
  • The International Children’s Mission, Kenya providing food and shelter to street children, many of whom have been orphaned due to HIV/AIDs.
