Sin is the dark-side. But don’t be fooled, It’s not just the stuff of serial killers and rapists. It’s all the stuff we do that is not right and holy in God’s eyes. When God created us humans, we were pure and sinless but the ultimate evil (the devil) tempted us and we fell for it hook line and sinker and then became sinful beings and have been ever since. That’s right… no one is perfect; we've all sinned.

Now because God is Holy, He can’t have an intimate relationship with anyone who is not and this is where sin really has it in for us… it forms a barrier between us and God.  See He is perfect, and like oil and water don’t mix, sin and Holiness don’t mix. We are always trying to reach God by trying to live a good life or find the answers in philosophy or religion. But since we aren’t perfect we can’t, on our own, get to God.

Pretty bleak right? Yes, but there is hope…

God breaks down the barrier that separates us from Him by sending his son, Jesus Christ to die on the cross in our place to pay the penalty for our sins. But knowing about this truth isn’t enough....
