Fascinate ’09 ‘gathering of radicals’ on GOD TV
Media Release: JULY 27, 2009
High School Conference to air LIVE from International House of Prayer in Kansas City
GOD TV founders Rory & Wendy Alec are partnering with Mike Bickle of the International House of Prayer in Kansas City (IHOP-KC) this week, to call high school students around the world to dedicate their lives to God as they participate in Fascinate '09.
Fascinate, which is held annually at the IHOP Missions Base in Kansas City, is based on Psalm 119:37 - a young man's cry to God to turn his eyes from worthless things and to revive him in the Lord's ways. Three sessions will air LIVE on GOD TV from Missouri as follows:
- Thursday July 30th at 10.30pm with David Sliker, who is an IHOP-KC leader and an instructor at IHOP-KC's Forerunner School of Ministry;
- Friday July 31st at 8pm with Lou Engle, the founder of TheCall gatherings which has seen thousands of young people gather to fast and pray in cities across the USA;
- Saturday August 1st at 8pm with Mike Bickle, who is a world-renowned prophetic teacher and the founder and director of IHOP-KC. (All times Eastern)
IHOP-KC is a multi-faceted ministry, which attracts thousands of young people who share a passion to prepare the way of the Lord through night and day worship and prayer. Many of these participate in some 25 worship teams, which lead 24-hour worship, while others are being trained up in the Forerunner School of Ministry.
2009 marks IHOP-KC's tenth year of non-stop, 24-hour worship and intercession and since then many other Houses of Prayer have sprung up across the world. IHOP-KC runs many different events including Prayer and Prophetic Conferences, God in the Marketplace and its popular onething youth rally. Fascinate is targeted directly at high school students and will focus on themes that will help them grow in intimacy with God, and live in wholehearted abandonment to Jesus.
"At a time when the eyes of this generation are being captured by the emptiness of the world, a company of young people is rising up as shining lamps," says Mike Bickle. "It is time for our young people to come out of the lesser pleasures of the world and taste everything God has for them. Fascinate is for a generation of young people who desire to live radical lives of holiness and devotion, and who are seeking the glory of the Lord, that campuses and cities across the earth might be transformed," he said.
"GOD TV has a passion to impact young lives in all the different nations of the earth," says GOD TV co-founder and director of television, Wendy Alec, "It is our privilege to join with IHOP-KC to urge teens in the USA and across the globe to be more radical for Jesus. As they follow Him, He will show them the great dreams and visions He has for their lives and how He will use them to make a difference wherever they are."
