Human trafficking is a horrific reality many of us are unaware of, yet more than 1.2 million children face this form of abuse every year. It is time for God’s people to take a Stand. The Stand event, run by Hope For Justice, takes viewers on a journey into the world of human trafficking, showing how it impacts innocent lives. This includes the heart-breaking story of Geeta, a young girl from Nepal who was sold into prostitution in India and many other testimonies. The Stand also features talks from the founder of Hope For Justice, Ben Cooley, as well as other people who are championing this cause like Joseph D'Souza (head of the Dalit Freedom Network), Steve Chalke (founder of Oasis Trust), Baroness Cox (campaigner for humanitarian causes) and Andy Hawthorne (founder of The Message Trust). Make sure you tune in for exclusive behind the scenes interviews and music from bands like Delirious?, YFriday, Bluetree, Jon Foreman (Switchfoot), Paul Field, thebandwithnoname and many others who are supporting this initiative. Founded by Ben and Debbie Cooley, Hope for Justice exists to inspire a generation to rise up against the injustice of human trafficking and see God restore lives. “Trafficking is a global issue and it is our prayer that the Church would continue to unite, and stand for freedom and justice on the earth,” said Ben Cooley. “It was incredible to have so many top Christian artists and speakers at The Stand supporting the cause and an awesome sight to see the crowd with their arms raised in worship, praying for change and being inspired to make a difference.” Please note that sensitive viewers may find some footage upsetting.
