NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER, WORLD PRAYER ASSEMBLY, THECALL VIRGINIA AND GLOBAL DAY OF PRAYER TO AIR ON THE GOD CHANNEL IN MAY.

“Watch and Pray” is an instruction given by Jesus Christ throughout the Gospels, and one GOD TV takes seriously. GOD TV founders Rory and Wendy Alec are calling the GOD TV family to participate in a heightened season of prayer this month with four major prayer events that will be screened on the GOD Channel.

US National Day of Prayer (NDP) – LIVE at 9am (EST) on May 3 with a replay at 9.10pm and on Saturday May 5th at 7pm. Led by Shirley Dobson, the 61st Annual Observance of the NDP seeks to return the United States to its Biblical foundation and cover its people and leaders in prayer. The Washington, D.C. event will be broadcast exclusively on the GOD Channel with the theme “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord” (Psalm 33:12). Featured speakers include NDP honorary chairman, Dr. David Jeremiah; Dr. James Dobson of Family Talk; his wife Shirley Dobson, who is the NDP Task Force chairman; Bishop Harry Jackson of Hope Christian Church; the Azusa Pacific Men’s Choir; and many others.

World Prayer Assembly – LIVE from Jakarta, Indonesia on May 17. Hosted by Korea and Indonesia, this historic international event will unite believers in prayer across the world to intercede for important global issues and the regions of the world and will culminate in the Global Day of Prayer. The World Prayer Assembly will feature several prominent Christian leaders including David Yonggi Cho of Yoido Full Gospel Church; Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God; Suzette Hattingh of Voice in the City; Cindy Jacobs of Generals International; Graham Power of Global Day of Prayer; and others.

TheCall, Virginia - LIVE from Fredericksburg on Saturday May 26 at 12pm (EST). For more than a decade Lou Engle and TheCall have inspired a new generation of prayer warriors worldwide as GOD TV has aired their mass gatherings LIVE from cities across the USA. The focus of TheCall is Joel 2:15, which says: “Blow the trumpet in Zion! Consecrate a fast! Call a sacred assembly.” TheCall Virginia is a time of repentance, worship and intercession and will feature many musicians and speakers. Highlights of TheCall Virginia will air on Sunday May 27 at 2pm (EST)

Global Day of Prayer (GDoP) – direct from Jakarta, Indonesia on Sunday May 27 at 6pm (EST) with a replay on Monday May 28 at 2pm. Every Pentecost Sunday prayer events are held throughout the world to mark the Global Day of Prayer. Rory and Wendy Alec have hosted many GDoP broadcasts over the past several years with coverage from different continents and this year the broadcast comes from Asia, hosted by Rory Alec with GDoP Founder, Graham Power. This exclusive broadcast will enable viewers to join with millions of Christians gathering for a time of prayer and repentance as they obey the call of 2 Chronicles 7:14: “If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from Heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
