GOD TV celebrates Orlando launch with 3 days of ‘At The Altar’ LIVE broadcasts
MEDIA RELEASE: THURSDAY JANUARY 26, 2012
GOD TV chief executive, Rory Alec hosted the first of three nightly broadcasts, LIVE from Orlando yesterday, to mark the launch of the GOD Channel via digital terrestrial transmission in Central Florida. The ‘At The Altar’ broadcasts will continue today and tomorrow (26 through 27 January) featuring the Bay Revival with John Kilpatrick and Nathan Morris, with worship led by Lydia Stanley.
Following a publicity campaign with eye-catching billboards in and around Orlando, the GOD Channel became available on channel 55.2 throughout Central Florida on January 5, 2012 where it can be received free to air with a low-cost aerial.
"This is the month we officially launch GOD TV across the great city of Orlando,” said GOD TV CEO, Rory Alec who founded GOD TV in 1995 along with his wife, Wendy. “We welcome all our new terrestrial viewers on Channel 55.2! Our At The Altar broadcast is a divine appointment for the people of Florida and our viewers worldwide to connect with our Heavenly Father.”
The Bay Revival team: Pastor John Kilpatrick from Church of His Presence in Mobile, Alabama; UK Evangelist Nathan Morris; and worship leader, Lydia Stanley; are at Calvary Assembly of God in Winter Park to hold revival meetings that are being aired LIVE around the world as part of the launch. Viewers are also being encouraged to send in their prayer requests to be prayed over by Rory Alec and the Bay Revival team.
“GOD TV’s theme for this year is ‘Conquer Your Mountain’ and we are here to serve our viewers and help them to find the breakthrough they’re believing for,” said Wendy Alec who is GOD TV’s director of television. “We want to pray for each viewer and their families, so we encourage all our viewers to participate in these broadcasts by watching and sending in their prayer requests.”
The Bay Revival started in Mobile, Alabama in 2010 at Church of His Presence. Characterized by notable healing miracles, including that of Delia Knox who is now walking after being paralyzed for more than 22 years, the Revival has since taken to the road, touring several US cities. It has been televised on the GOD Channel since November 2010 and is a favorite with viewers who love the beautiful worship and the opportunity to see God’s miraculous power at work.
During a previous series of At The Altar broadcasts, LIVE from Jerusalem with Nathan Morris last year, GOD TV received over 20,000 prayer requests. This week’s At The Altar broadcasts are expected to attract even more, especially with GOD TV’s increased US distribution. At The Altar LIVE from Orlando is available for video on demand viewing at www.god.tv and will be replayed on the GOD Channel in prime time this weekend.
The GOD Channel can be watched via satellite across the USA on channel 365 of DIRECTV, on cable stations in some cities, now via digital terrestrial transmission in Central Florida and on the Internet at www.god.tv where there is also an extensive archive of programming for video on demand viewing.
