GOD TV urges viewers to stand with Israel this Sunday via two timely broadcasts: the ‘Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem’ and ‘Israel Is Forever’.

GOD TV founders Rory & Wendy Alec have extended their stay in Israel to present this weekend’s ‘Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem’ LIVE on the GOD Channel and followed by a replay of ‘Israel is Forever’, the worship celebration recorded last week as part of the Kim Clement GOD TV 2011 Israel Tour.

DAY OF PRAYER FOR THE PEACE OF JERUSALEM WITH ROBERT STEARNS

GOD TV will once again broadcast the annual Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem, held on the first Sunday of October. Founded by Jack Hayford and Robert Stearns in 2002 this event is endorsed by over 1,200 Christian leaders and 200,000 churches and is an urgent call to intercede for God’s purposes to come to pass in His Holy City. It airs LIVE on the GOD Channel on October 2 at 9.45 am (EST).

Rory & Wendy Alec will introduce the broadcast from GOD TV’s Broadcast HQ in Jerusalem, crossing to Robert Stearns at the Haas Promenade overlooking the city. The program will include prayers from Arab, Jewish and Christian believers, interspersed with worship and dance. Participating ministries include Bridges for Peace, the International Christian Embassy, Jerusalem; Christ Church, Jerusalem and Succat Hillel. The deputy mayor of Jerusalem, Naomi Tsur and Gila Gamliel of the Knesset Christian Allies Caucus will represent the Israeli Government.

As the founders of the only Christian broadcaster to transmit from Jerusalem, Rory & Wendy have expressed concern for all the people of the Middle East. “The Jewish and the Palestinian people have both suffered so much and it is crucial for us to pray for peace to come to this region,” said GOD TV CEO, Rory Alec. “At the same time we are concerned about the unilateral Palestinian bid for Statehood at the UN and it being based on Israel returning to ‘1967 borders,’ which means the division of Jerusalem. GOD TV supports a unified Jerusalem under Israeli sovereignty to ensure free access for all people.”

The program includes an interview with the Mayor of Jerusalem, Nir Barkat who tells Rory & Wendy Alec how much he appreciates the support of Christians worldwide. “There’s room for people of all faiths to come and visit and go back as ambassadors of peace, to share how beautiful, spiritual and cultural Jerusalem is!” he said.
